Professional, compassionate in-home pet sitting serving Barrington, Bristol, Warren, and Portsmouth. Background-verified, certified in pet first aid, and experienced with oral medication and injection administration.
My name is Karley Roberts, and I provide caring, reliable pet sitting services to the communities I proudly call home: Barrington, Bristol, Warren, and Portsmouth. As a local resident, I understand how important it is to have someone you trust looking after your pets.
My love of animals isn't just professional; it's personal. Over the years I have owned five dogs, five cats, two guinea pigs, one bird, and one rabbit of my own, and I currently manage my dog's Addison's disease with home injections. I have also completed a volunteer training program in the care of wild birds, including raising baby birds.
I am semi-retired after a long career in social services, including more than 20 years as a counselor, experience working with children through the RI Department of Children, Youth & Families, and time spent as an investigator for the State of Massachusetts. That experience has shaped my patience, attentiveness, and sense of responsibility, qualities I bring to every pet I care for. I am also a non-smoker.
Whether you're away for a day or longer, you can feel confident your pets are in safe, compassionate hands with someone who is dependable and deeply connected to the community.

All visits take place in your home, so your pet stays comfortable in their own space and routine. I serve dogs, cats, birds, and other pets.
A 30-minute check-in for feeding, fresh water, bathroom breaks, and plenty of love and attention. Perfect for pets who just need a midday check or a short trip away.
A full 60 minutes of personalized care, longer walks, extended playtime, and unhurried attention for pets who thrive on more company and enrichment.
Solo walks tailored to your dog's pace, energy, and route preferences. Includes a post-walk report and photo update so you always know how the walk went.
Many sitters won't administer medications or handle pets with complex care routines; I will. I have personal, hands-on experience giving oral medications and home injections (my own dog has Addison's disease), and I am comfortable supporting pets managing seizure conditions, thyroid disorders, arthritis, allergies, and other common chronic conditions. I am also certified in Pet First Aid and CPR through the American Red Cross, so you can feel confident I am prepared to respond calmly and correctly in any situation.
"Our cat has hyperthyroidism and needs twice-daily medication. We were nervous to travel but finding someone willing, and truly capable, of managing his care was a huge relief. She was patient, communicative, and sent photos every visit."
"I've used Rover in the past and always felt a bit uneasy. With Mount Hope Pet Care, I felt completely at ease from the very first meeting. Professional, warm, and my dog absolutely loved her from day one."
"She handled our parrot and two dogs without missing a beat. Not many sitters will take on birds, let alone do it with such genuine confidence and care. We finally have a sitter we plan to use for years."
Every new client relationship begins with a free, no-obligation meet & greet: a chance for your pets to meet me and for us to talk through your schedule and your animal's needs. Feel free to call or text anytime.
